Frequently Asked Questions (Rentals)

Q:   Are pets allowed?
A:   Some condominiums and owners will allow tenants to have a pet with an additional pet deposit of $500.00.
Q:   What is the bed tax?
A:   A bed tax is collected on behalf of the County (Collier and Lee) for any occupancy of six months or less. This is collected in addition to the sales tax levied by the State of Florida.
Q:   Is an association application and fee required?
A:   If there is an Association in the development in which you will be residing an application and fee will be required as well as two letters or recommendation or referral.
Q:   Is smoking allowed in the units?
A:   Smoking is not allowed inside any unit. Some owners will allow smoking on the lanai.
Q:   How far in advance do I have to book my reservation?
A:   The further ahead you book your reservation, the better selection of units you will have. In some developments, you will need to book at least 30 days prior for processing of condominium applications.
Q:   Are linens and towels provided in units?
A:   All units have certain standards and items that must be provided and include linens, towels and kitchen supplies. Specific inventory lists are provided upon request.
Q:   How many TV's are the units?
A:   Each unit is individually owned. Therefore, it may vary on how many TV's are in each unit. All units have at least one TV and phone and all have a washer, dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and range.
Q:   What is the cancellation policy?
A:   If your notice of cancellation is received by the agent 120 days or less from the first day of the lease term, and the agent is unable to re-rent the unit at a rate at least equal to your rate, you will forfeit your deposits as liquidated damages, and as a full and complete settlement of all amounts due. In the event the unit is re-rented, a service charge of $250.00 will be deducted from the deposit monies being held and the balance will be refunded.
